ALTON, iXPN Lead Industry Support for eWorld Forum and Aaron Ukodie Book Launch

The Association of Licensed Telecom Operators of Nigeria (ALTON), iXPN, its Chairman, Mr Gbenga Adebayo, and its Chief Executive Officer, Mr Mohammed Rudman, have expressed support for the forthcoming eWorld Forum and the launch of books by veteran journalist and technology writer, Mr Aaron Ukodie.

The event is scheduled to hold on September 24, 2026, at the Oriental Hotel, Lagos, bringing together stakeholders from Nigeria’s telecommunications, Internet, technology, policy and media sectors.

ALTON, the umbrella body representing licensed telecommunications operators in Nigeria, has remained a key stakeholder in the development of the country’s telecommunications industry. Over the years, the association has advocated policies aimed at creating a conducive, predictable and sustainable operating environment for telecom operators.

The association has also consistently engaged the government, regulators and other industry stakeholders on issues affecting the growth and sustainability of the sector.

Under the leadership of Adebayo, ALTON has continued to advocate fair and transparent policies in critical areas such as regulation, taxation, infrastructure deployment, quality of service, spectrum management and right-of-way charges. These issues remain central to attracting investment, expanding infrastructure and improving telecommunications services across Nigeria.

Similarly, Rudman and iXPN have played significant roles in the development of Nigeria’s Internet infrastructure and broader digital ecosystem. Rudman, a prominent Internet industry stakeholder, previously served as President of the Nigeria Internet Registration Association (NiRA).

The support of ALTON, Adebayo, iXPN and Rudman for the eWorld Forum and Ukodie’s book launch underscores the importance of telecommunications and Internet connectivity to Nigeria’s digital transformation.

The event is expected to provide a platform for industry stakeholders, technology professionals, policymakers and media practitioners to reflect on the evolution of Nigeria’s telecommunications and digital ecosystem over the past 25 years.

The book launch will also celebrate Ukodie’s longstanding contribution to technology journalism and his role in documenting the development of Nigeria’s ICT industry and digital economy.
